Detailpage Home Fabiola
Just a few metres away from the famous Overpoortstraat, the Kantienberg student restaurant and the Albert Heyn, Home Fabiola is ideally located for the student who prefers to keep daily walks to a minimum. The building was built in the 1960s and has 224 rooms of 12 m². Furthermore, the home is also equipped with a spacious study room, a solarium with roof terrace, and a relaxation room where you can watch TV with your dorm mates, play kickball, ping-pong, pool or enjoy a drink on our bar night every Wednesday.
Thanks to all these common areas, it is very easy to create close ties here. Home residents soon feel like a second family: everyone knows each other and is there for each other. Got a problem, need a good chat or just need someone to go out with? Just knock on the door of a gang mate and you're guaranteed to find someone who can help you out!
To make it easier to forge these friendships among homers, there is a homeraad that organises cultural and sports activities every week. So we sometimes attend a play, explore Ghent with a bike ride or pub crawl and also work on our fitness with a weekly start-to-run in the park, or start-to-sport in bad weather. But there are also bigger activities such as a quiz organised every semester or a cheese-and-wine evening that is also a gala ball.
So one thing is certain: you won't have time to be bored at Home Fabiola!
