The Happy Lunar New Year event is organized to celebrate Tết Nguyên Đán — the most important traditional festival in Vietnam. This celebration brings students together to welcome the Lunar New Year in a warm, joyful, and culturally meaningful atmosphere. A central part of the event is a Vietnamese Tết potluck, where participants bring and share homemade traditional dishes such as spring rolls, sticky rice cakes, and other festive foods. In addition, the program features Vietnamese traditional folk games, allowing participants to experience cultural traditions through interactive and joyful activities. The event aims to create a sense of home away from home for students spending Lunar New Year abroad, while also introducing Vietnamese culture and traditions to international friends.

The New Year Countdown is a social and cultural event to celebrate the arrival of the New Year together as a community. The event will bring students together on New Year’s Eve to enjoy a festive atmosphere, share conversations, and count down to midnight. A key highlight of the evening is the group visit to watch the New Year’s fireworks, allowing participants to welcome the new year together in a joyful and memorable way. This celebration offers students—especially those far from home—a warm and inclusive space to mark an important moment of the year, reflect on the past, and look forward to new beginnings.

This activity aim to celebrate the holiday season with warmth, joy, and community spirit. This event brings students together for an evening filled with holiday-themed activities such as gift exchanges, music, games, and shared food. Participants will enjoy a cozy, friendly environment where they can relax, celebrate the end of the year, and connect with fellow Vietnamese and international students before the winter break. The celebration aims to create a sense of home away from home for students spending the holiday season in Belgium.
