MaTRaK is a Ghent student theatre that performs three to four plays by different directors every year. Our association exists for and by students, which makes us unique! Any student can apply to act and/or direct with us. Participating is very easy, as we have the famous MaTRaK auditions at the beginning of October! These auditions take place in groups and allow everyone to fully immerse themselves in the theatre bug at their own pace. You don't need to have any theatre experience at all to become a star performer at MaTRaK. However, if you want to direct, you can always email matrak_theater@hotmail.com during the summer holidays. Furthermore, we also go on weekends with the players of all the plays together, so you get to know the other groups besides your own drama group. By working closely with your drama group for a whole year, you get to know friends for life.
