Dearest Engagers,
Have you ever thought about what happens to culture when people move across borders? 🌎🧳✈️
Join us on Tuesday, October 15th, for an evening that will challenge perspectives and spark meaningful conversations about this topic. πŸ—£οΈπŸ’‘ Our guest speaker, Marwa Neji, will delve into the complexities of migration and its impact on cultural identity. πŸ“– What happens to tradition, language and heritage when people move across borders? Are these cultural voices truly being erased, or are they finding new ways to be heard? πŸ€” Let’s come together to uncover these complex aspects and reflect on what it means for the future of cultural identity! πŸ”
Marwa Neji is currently pursuing her doctorate at the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences, where she is affiliated with the Department of Conflict and Development Studies. πŸ“š Her research is connected to two research units: the Centre for the Social Study of Migration and Refugees and the Middle East and North Africa Research Group. Marwa’s work primarily focuses on topics such as migration studies, gender equality, race gender class and postcolonial studies, as she contributes to a deeper understanding of migration and society, anti-discrimination, and decolonial methodologies. πŸ”¬πŸ’πŸ€
Please note: this event will be held in English.
