Beschrijving

In this talk we will briefly go over the recent discovery of gravitational waves, the science associated with the numerous observations, and the LIGO and Virgo detectors that made this possible. We will then talk about the challenges of going over to a next generation of gravitational-wave observatories, and how the ETpathfinder facility in Maastricht is working towards overcoming these challenges.
