Hey hey hey! We are back with another event! IK, ESN and Elsa are organising a speedfriending event on 18th of February. The event will start at 8 PM.
This event is open to all bachelor, master, PhD and post doc students. We know these are tough times to meet new people, especially if you have moved to this country recently. We hope that with this online speedfriending event, you can get to know some nice people in a much more realistic way, instead of hopelessly swiping everyone to the right on Tinder 😉.
What’s going to happen?
We will use 2 different platforms. During the first hour, you will have 6 one on one conversations with different people we matched you with (according to our form). Afterwards, you’ll be able to walk around (virtually) and talk to other people.
We’ll match you with other people based on your interests so go ahead and fill in this awesome form: https://forms.gle/vkVHghNnzZcUEA8T9.
We’ll try to not put people from the same study field together, because we believe that there are other ways that you can meet. Same goes for people from the same association.
You’ll have to provide us with a username. This username will then be used to connect you with others. We will provide some questions for the duration of the 10 mins talk between 2 individuals. You can of course go on and befriend each other on social media, but this option will remain to protect people’s privacy.
After the event, we’ll send you a form that you can fill in (not mandatory), there we will ask with whom you would like your name and email address to be shared. If that person selects you as well, we will provide both of you with the contact information. (This for privacy reasons, you can of course befriend each other on social media during the event, but this is to provide a safer way)
The participation fee for this event is €1. The reason is to avoid people registering and not showing up at the event. We would like to deliver the quality that you deserve. If you invite another person to the event, you don’t have to pay! But remind them to mention your username when they are filling in the google doc.
The payment should be done to BE38 7360 6565 0472 with the reference of your 'username_speedfriending'.
