THE STIGMA CHALLENGE

Wereld aids dag geeft ons de kans om te praten over HIV.
Op 1 december grijpt BeMSA Gent (Belgian Medical Students Association) deze kans door tram 1 in Gent en het Gent Sint-Pietersstation voor 24 uur over te nemen.
Ons doel is om HIV weer bespreekbaar te maken, en zo de strijd aan te gaan met het stigma dat er onlosmakelijk aan verbonden is. Want het virus kan je onderdrukken met medicatie, maar het stigma niet.
We hebben ook enkele jonge, Belgische bands uitgenodigd om een intieme, unplugged sessie te spelen op de tram. Ook in Gent Sint-Pieters staan er jullie een aantal verrassende optredens te wachten
Tijd dat er eens echt over HIV gepraat wordt.

World Aids Day gives us the opportunity to talk about HIV.
On the 1st of December, BeMSA Ghent (Belgian Medical Students Association) seizes this opportunity by riding tram 1 in Ghent and the Ghent Saint-Peters train station for 24 hours.
Talking about HIV and the stigma people with HIV face by giving true and correct information is our goal, because the stigma is a lot harder to manage than the virus.
We also invited young Belgian artists to play inspiring, unplugged sessions to add up to the experience. Some surprising performances are waiting for you in the train station...
Its time to start talking about HIV.
