Next Wednesday, May 6th, the open board meeting of the IEEE Student Branch Gent will take place.

This is a unique opportunity for IEEE-enthusiasts to get familiar with what happens behind the scenes of each of our activities! Are you interested in taking up a role in the executive board of the Student Branch in the next academic year? Don't hesitate, and join the open meeting, we are always looking for enthusiastic people to join forces with!

To give you an idea of the possible roles to fulfil for newcomers: vice-chairman, secretary, webmaster, PR responsible, eKart project manager, jobfair organising committee,...

If you would have any questions about these functions that cannot wait until the open meeting, feel free to send us a message!

The meeting will take place at EELAB, Technologiepark Zwijnaarde 913, at 18h45, and will be followed by an eKart project night for those interested!

This second eKart Weld Night will start at 19h30 and we will weld the last week welded motor frame onto the chassis of the kart. It is advised to the participants to wear long sleeves (UV burns) and to bring their welding masks if available.

We will also finish the battery holders and continue with the design of the electrical network of our eKart 2.0.

And of course, the batteries will be charged to race the first eKart 1.0.
